The beaches
The sea, a time out for the soul.
The 180 km long Adriatic coast with 26 bathing beaches, 16 of which are marked with the blue flag (as a recognizable sign of their excellent water and environmental quality), offers a perfect and relaxing beach vacation. You are spoilt for choice between small rocky coves, palm beaches and white cliffs, fine sandy beaches overlooking the Adriatic Sea and framed by the green and ocher of the hilly landscape. All along the coast you have the opportunity to try the most varied sports: Windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, diving, kite surfing, swimming and beach volleyball. The sea with its rich variety of fish is the ideal place for diving; qualified diving schools and diving centers with refilling stations offer quality equipment and service for every level.
is a promontory with numerous curves and bays, the Riviera is shaped by the sea breeze of the Adriatic Sea, which meets the mountain whose name bears this entire area of the Marche, Monte Conero. A large number of beaches, which can be reached by water or small footpaths, stretch between rocks and flowering vegetation and towns rich in history and traditions: All this is the Riviera del Conero.
The Riviera characterizes an amazing nature, green and partly wild, crystal clear waters and many beaches, some easy to reach and others, hidden and secluded.
Our favorite place is Sirolo and the (simple) ristorante Vittoria with great views over the sea .
You will find pure sandy beaches at: Gabicce Mare, Pesaro, Senigallia, Falconara Marittima, Palombina (near Ancona), Porto Potenza Picena, Porto San Giorgio, Cupra Marittima, Grottamare, San Benedetto del Tronto, Porto d'Ascoli, Fano.
Pebble beaches can be found at:
Marina di Montemarciano, Numana near Mercelli.
Rock and pebble beaches can be found at:
Portonovo, Numana, Sirolo.
Sandy and pebbly beaches are at:
Fano, Torrette, Mondolfo near Marotta, Marzocca near Senigallia, Porto Recanati, Civitanova Marche, Lido di Fermo, Marina Palmense di Fermo, Marina di Altidona, Pedaso.
The breathtaking long beach is also one of the main attractions of San Benedetto del Tronto. In the famous seaside resort you will find numerous palm trees. The history of the "Queen of the Seas" is excellently explained in the several museums of the town. Wide sandy beaches are also the symbol of Porto d'Ascoli at the southernmost point of the region.
The sea, populated by a diverse fauna, is ideal for diving excursions. For this purpose, all along the coast there are qualified professional diving schools and many divings. Here you will find efficient loading stations, quality equipment and assistance for every level of diving. Windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, kitesurfing and beach volleyball are also offered.
And much more!!!
